The Day of the Triffids

The story is about a blind man. The meteor shower occurred after he went to a surgery. He had been hearing less sounds than usual, so he found out that there was something wrong. Unfortunately, he was not able to see clearly yet. The event was just told by the drunk guy in a bar after he got out of the hospital. He also found out that the people was blinded by the green flashes of the meteor.
In my opinion, the book is quite interesting. The storyline is unique, as usual. The protagonist/main character raised my curiosity by his traits. He is matchless compared to the other characters of the other novel. The only thing that I didn't like is that it is slow pacing. It took 20 pages to introduce the story and still, i don't think it mentioned the name of the main character. I think the author should just simplify the story.
I don't think i can finish this book. It's because of it's slow pacing. I think it's too long for me. The book is not very interesting for me to finish this book. I like the Sci-fi books but not this one. I like the story, but not how the author wrote it.

Catch a Killer

The story is about a young man named Andrew, who is ran away from his home. The reason is because his single mother did not allow him to go to a restaurant which she thinks it is not a good place to hang out. Andrew then got mad and he told his mother such hurtful words ending up being slapped across the face. Because of this, he ran away. He is mature for his age but he use it in a bad way. He ran away from their home to test how much his mother loves him.

In my opinion, this is a very good book. The author detailed the events perfectly including his description of the characters. I can imagine the story clearly. The only thing that i didn't like is the font of the book. It is too big. i think he made it like that to make the book thicker. I think he shouldn't have done that. It's because it makes the novel look like it was written for kids. The story, however, is very well done. It is very realistic but it still looks like a fiction. I can compare the book to the real life based on the events.

I think i can see myself finishing this book because it is very interesting. I also would like to know what will happen to Andrew next. I am imagining that Alex will go somewhere he doesn't know about and he will experience the most extraordinary thing in his life.

The Wild Children

The book is about a 12 year old Russian kid, named Alex. His family was arrested and taken away. His friend, Katriana helped him find and decide where he is going. Alex has to go a place where it is safe to live and probably no one knows his family are arrested and he's not with them right now. The reason is because someone could turn him in and he could be sent to an orphanage which is not a easy place to live for him. He is considered one of the "wild children" because his family is arrested and taken away, nowhere to be found. He decided to go to his relative, in Moscow.

In my opinion, this book is attention-grabbing. It's because the storyline is out if the ordinary. The reason is that families are being arrested and taken away. He is also like a grown up who acts responsibly for his actions. He knew that he is in danger. The events are quite odd because of how the community acts. They are like prisoners who are taken away and the reason is a big secret. They also have to keep everything they know to themselves because anybody could be like a traitor. They know that there is no one that they can trust and lean on. The event that i liked the most is when his friend Katriana risked herself to help out Alfred. For me that's very heroic.

I think i can finish this book easily because the story is interesting. It attracted my interest of it's storyline and the events are exceptional. Imagine the one who is supposed to help you out is actually your "enemy". The revolution affected the story.

The Chrysalids

The book is about a guy named David living in a community called Waknuk where any abnormalities are considered ungodly. They burn farmlands if there is something wrong with it. David met a girl named Sophie who has 6 toes on one of her foot. She was scared that if David found out he would turn her in. The community will act terribly unkind to her because of her "abnormality". After he found out about her abnormality, he promised not to tell anyone about it. Unlike his house, Sophie's house is quite small but look very friendly.

In my opinion, the book is quite interesting. The first chapter interested me because of the events and how the community is introduced to the readers. Unlike the second chapter, it just introduced David's family and his home. It introduced his father and his grandfather marrying a girl who is 25 years younger than him. So far, The storyline is very catchy and quite unique. This is a good novel for fiction readers. It's because this book is way different than the reality. The community, and their religious views made the story interesting and unique.
I can imagine myself finishing the book although the story quite long for me. The story line is fast pacing and i think that this book has a good ending. I am thinking that David would persuade the community to change their views according to the "abnormalities". I hope in the end David will tell them that no one s perfect and it is not their fault to be "unique"
